Monster Green Shake

Yes, I call this a monster green shake. It's my post-workout shake and it makes me feel like a monster. In a good way of course. It makes me feel strong, satisfied and like I am ready to take on anything after a great workout.

It's also a great on-the-go option when there isn't much time to eat (but always remember, eating food for nutrients is ideal). What I like the best about this shake is that I get all of my macros- carbs, protein and fats, all in one delicious shake. Nothing makes me happier when I can check off all the boxes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 1 1/4 cup almond mylk or milk of your choice
  • 1 scoop protein powder of your choice
  • 1 handful of spinach, kale and/or chard (I use all three)
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tsp raw cacao powder

Blend all ingredients and enjoy! You can adjust the amount of liquid to get your desired consistency.
